About

I have been a teacher for 15 years. A philosophy graduate, I initially trained as an RE teacher.

I then spent seven years working in PRUs and with excluded students or those in danger of being excluded.

I am in the final throes of my PhD (I’ve passed my viva, I just need to do corrections) which concerns the nature of (ethical) justifications used in teaching (especially students with SEMHD).

I now teach Philosophy at a school in Valencia, Spain.

This blog is just a sketchpad of ideas. A means by which I hope to sharpen and clarify my thoughts on issues as they come up.

One day I would like to write advertising jingles for a living. I’ve written a really good one for Jamaican Ginger Cake. I even phoned McVities to sing it to them. I could only get through to a cleaner though. I sang it to her anyway, and she seemed to like it.
